Hi,
In the CE version there is no built in reporting. But you have a number of options.
Use the Zuckerreport module which uses the Jaspersoft reporting tools. This is integrated into Sugar and accesible through the Tab menu. You can build custom reports using the ireport report builder from Jaspersoft.
Another option could be to use native jaspersoft to talk to the database directly again using ireport for building detailled reports (more flexibility but you need to understand the database).
Option 3: similar to above but using the Pentaho BI toolkit to talk to the database directly.
Option 4: Use Excel and ODBC to talk to the database directly.
Option 5 Use Openoffice Calc and Database + sun report writer and ODBC to talk to the database directly. I use this option a lot.
Option 6: Use Microsoft Access and ODBC to talk to the database directly and use its reporting functions.
Option 7: if desperate create new list views using Sugarcrm studio and search (saved searches) and do print . Although you onlyget one screen at a time.
Option 8: Buy the Pro or Enterprise edition whic has quite good reporting built in. This is definately the easiest to implement and support going forward.
I hope it helps

mcatling,
Thanks a lot. Defintely helps a lot. When I have some money in the future, I am sure will go for the Pro / Ent edition.

Hi,
I am creating some reports around Cases. I am having some trouble with getting a report around response times for cases. This is a pretty major report that I would think that a lot of institutions would use but have been unable to figure this out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Kenny
Hi Kenny,
This depends on what you instance currently looks like. You could create a Case closed date field that can either be manually populated, or create some custom coding which captures this timestamp when the status becomes a certain value (ie: closed). You could then custom code another field which captures the datediff between this closed date and the created date of the case (response time). This fields could then just be pulled into a report.
