SugarCRM v Netsuite v SalesForce

I'd like to publicly acknowledge how good Sugar are behind the scenes.

Having recently migrated a customer from Netsuite to SugarCRM Community Edition and discovering how obstructive they are, dealing with Sugar regarding a migration from Express to Community Edition was a joy.

Netsuite offer no tools to access the data apart from incomplete records of individual database tables (minus the keys). They offered no support. So we had to reconstruct a customer database from partial files ... achievable but really not straightforward. We have had similar experiences with Salesforce (ouch!!)

SugarCRM on the other hand were a breeze ... we requested a copy of the data and application and it was with us in less that 24 hours. It contained everything we needed to rapidly rebuild the customer instance.

Anybody who is thinking about using salesforce or netsuite ought to take this to heart. With either of those companies .... they own your data.... you cannot easily migrate. Our experience of SugarCRM suggests an ethical company that puts the customer experience and ownership at their core.
