Summary Reporting on Activities

Hi all,

A question that comes up once in a while is:

How to create summary reporting on Activities (Calls, Meetings, Emails, Notes, Tasks)?

As far as I can tell, there is no way to use the Reports module to create a consolidated summary Report across these modules (e.g. to show count of Activities per user per week).

My suggestion is:

Create a custom module called Activity log.
Create workflows that create records in the Activity log for each call, meeting, etc.
Create reports on the Activity log module.

Has anyone implemented a solution like this or a better one for the same problem?

One of a very common requirement and feature which we are just implementing in our KINAMU Reporter. In the works - stay tuned. Also applicable to reports on leads and opportunities, tasks and project tasks ...

The approach to create one summary module is creating data redundancy and thus from my view a working but ugly workaround.

There is a module in SugarForge which used to deliver this functionality SugarForge: Activities Report: Project Filelist but the last supported version is 5.5.

We upgraded this one for SugarCRM version 6.x (actually tested with 6.2.3). You can download it from here https://github.com/vanilladesk/sugar...vities-reports
