I am a small bus owner with clients. I use a CRM from elsewhere. I would like to switch to Sugar Community, but things don't seem to work consistently. For example, I have uploaded Calendar Web 2.0 by CARRENET, SalesView v56 for SugarCRM 6, and CRM4Office. I use Community 6.1 (newest version) and it is the only version I have used. They show as installed, but I don't know how to get them to work or even find them. I go to "add dashlet" and they are not there. If they are not compatible with 6.1, then I don't know how to distinguish compatible from incompatible versions.

Features I need the most:

1. mail merge and ability to write letters to clients.
2. birthday fields for client, spouse and kids/grandkids with alerts
3. notes and history of conversations (I think that is in there already)

Ideally, I would like to use Open Office for mail merge. If not, I do have Word
There are so many neat modules on SugarForge one can upload that really are attractive for my business, but most for some reason, I cannot seem to get them to work.

I can always use Maximizer, but I would like to try this and see if it can work. Any input or advice on what I may be doing wrong on getting the modules from Forge to work?
