Default Sync contacts with Outlook 2010 or Exchange 2003

Hi guys I am desperately keen to sync my contacts between Sugar community (version 6) and either Exchange 2003 or Outlook 2010 - my computer runs Outlook 2010 and we run exchange so either would be fine. I have tried Grinmark and while the support has been good, they have not been able to get it working no matter what we tried. I paid for this and it was working before I upgraded to Outlook 2010. I have tried Kinamu (even though its for 2007) and it doesn't load in 2010 because of a run time error. I've seen the option for Riva Integration server I was a bit confused with the plans so I've emailed them to see what the go is. I think I'd rather not lock myself in to paying a monthly fee for something that seems like it should be pretty straight forward. Are there any other options? I've had a look through the other extensions and most of them get really bad reviews

    Dan,

our connector should load fine in Outlook 2010 (some on our team are running this sucessfully and I have heard similar form other users using it in Outlook 2010). Finding the configuration is quite tricky but we will fix this with the next release where we will bring to the community a release for 2010.

post the runtime error in the forum on SugarForge - maybe we can help you.

thanks for the reply ok this is what happened with your module (the Kinamu one) I installed it and it seemed to install ok but then it just closed and didn't tell me what to do so I wasn't sure what to look for but I couldn't see see any extra buttons in Outlook and there was nothing on the Add Ins tab so then I re-start Outlook and it didn't do anything. So then I googled how to manually activate plugins and find out you can do it in options / Add-Ins so I go in there and I can see the Kinamu plugin in there so I tried to enable it and it gave me some sort of runtime error (I don't remember it exactly). I'm pretty sure I then removed it but looking at Outlook now I can't really worked out how I did this because I can't see any options for removing them.

Then to replicate this so I could post the error here I did a repair install but its not anywhere in Outlook (including in the options / Add-Ins) so then I uninstalled it and installed it again but its still not anywhere in there.

HI guys I am still unable to get this working. I haven't had a reply from Kinamu so I am sticking with trying to get the Grinmark one working. I have downgraded Outlook to 2003 and I know the grinmark one works with this but the problem is we run exchange and our contacts are kept in a contacts list created in the public folders so everyone can access them. What I have been doing is every week copying the public folders contact to my personal contacts list (because Grinmark can't sync with the public folders one) and then trying to sync from Outlook to Sugar. But what happens here is because I remove all of the old contacts in the list and replace them all, I think Grinmark thinks that they are all new and it proceeds to create duplicates for all of my contacts. I don't know of any way of removing duplicates in Sugar so the only way I can remove them is bring them all down and export from Outlook and remove the duplicates then re-import but Outlook doesn't have all of the fields saved in Sugar so I lose all of my custom field data.

I'm so frustrated. What on earth do other people do? Surely this must be a pretty common setup for businesses using Sugar?

    Thanks in advance.

This is really weird, I have now just installed Kinamu again it said it worked but I can't see it anywhere so I've looked on the Sugar Forge page under documentation which too me to http://www.scribd.com/doc/25357692/I...n-Windows-v1-0 which didn't really have any decent information except for a link down the bottom which took me to http://www.docstoc.com/docs/28901011...cts-on-Windows

When I went there it is a 40 page document that seems to be telling me how to set up an email account in Outlook. Then when I keep scrolling down the page it starts talking about installing Kinamu but when it gets to the point after you install it (where I am up to) there is a message saying the document owner has hidden the content and an add to cart button.

As always any help is appreciated.
