Hi!
I am a PeopleSoft CRM person, working as a PeopleSoft Admin. Think of it like being the tech dude for the system. I am responsible for maintaining the system, Application Upgrades, Tools Upgrades, applying PeopleSoft patches, updating software, migrating code, working with security, integrations, system stability, system tuning, the list goes on. While I do not write application code, I do write scripts and utilities for the servers (ksh, perl). Work with Linux, Solaris, Windows, etc.
I am happy with my job and don't plan to leave in the next year. However, I am thinking of the future and would like to move towards an open source application to work with. Is there an equivalent role in the SugarCRM world? A Sugar Administrator, if you will? I do not want to write application code and find system work rewarding. Would it be worth it for me to start learning SugarCRM?
Thanks for your help!
JJJ
