Tasks linked to Projects

Hi

Is there a specific reason why Sugar does not have the Tasks from the Activities module linked to the Projects module under the Activities tab below a selected project, It only gives an option to view calls, meetings, and archived emails. The tasks in Activities can be linked to a project but can't be monitored as part of that project - is this deliberate.

I am about to start training so this kind of information is always useful in terms of helping people to get the most from using the system.

Hi, MurrayE.

The Task that is shown in Activities module means a regular task, like "Answer e-mails", wich is a regular activity like call, meeting, email.
The ProjectTask is a specific Task related to project management. You can see that once a project task is linked to a project the estimate time and actual time of the project task is updated to same fields in project.
In a project management you have tasks assigned to someone and that will spent some time. It is the purpose of project task.

I agree with you that the project task could be shown in the Activities module because all project tasks are tasks at all, but not all tasks are project tasks.
