In setting up and learning the sugarcrm we've ran into a question I'm hoping some one can help us out with. We love that we can assign items to a particular team rather than a single person, that works very well for our small company as we never know who will be free to tackle the next big project. One issue is that when we assign a project to one team often another team needs to keep track of the progress.

An example, Marketing creates a project and once the design, content, etc, are set they assign it to Development to execute. Marketing wants to be able to see that once it was assigned to Development it was then assigned to a particular user and then see the progress of the project.

I've tried using roles to allow this functionality but it doesn't appear to work. Without adding each member of our company to each team is there a way to allow them to view other teams projects, accounts, etc? We like the ability to limit visibility to teams in some modules but in some areas it doesn't fit with our work flow.

I apologize if there is an easy answer I'm missing. I've tried to read through all the manuals I can find but nothing is jumping out at me as an answer.
