Hello!
I have been using v.5.2 since long time and I wanted to try a new version so I set up v.6.3.
In a glance I see that selection of themes is not possible anymore.
Are there more things missing compared to earlier versions?
Thank you,

Your observation is correct. The themes used/created in 5.5 and lower are not compatible with 6.x, hence, are no longer available.
One other item that comes to mind that is now missing is support for POP3 email. There are also some cosmetic changes to the email window.

Themes is the least (although many people prefer one or another for their own reasons), but no POP3?
Isn't this a major step back?
In the few minutes I browsed the v6.3, I understand that good things have come (i.e. documents for accounts/contacts), but why not keeping the good things from past versions?
Sugar essentially informed the community that they would no longer be investing development resources to maintain that code. I believe that happened with 5.5.
Technically, it is still possible to use it, as one can enable the feature via a config.php setting, but you are pretty much on your own should you run into any problem while using it, as Sugar has stopped all development work on it and will not fix any bugs or provide support on the matter. They want everyone to use IMAP instead, which continues to be available.

POP3 support was very problematic in the product in general, and generally speaking IMAP is a much preferred MTA overall. Most webmail systems and services tend to support both methods of access.
