Is there anybody out there who got the Inbound Email working on Linux / Debian?

Hi,

after getting no help in he help forum I finally just want to know, if there is at least anyone out there, who got the Inbound Email feature working on a Linux / Debian machine?

I have a Stock Debian Sarge machine with php4-imap modul, everything is working well besides the Inbound Email. is there a fix for this?

I can answer myself positively! What a nice conversation

After a lot of playing around I can say, that SugarCRM RUNS ON A PLAIN DEBIAN SARGE, no special compilations, no special apt-sources.

At this moment it is too early to give detailed instructions and I still do not know exactly what was the problem - I think it was a missing library for the commandline-version of PHP, I will make a complete reinstall later and keep on watching what went wrong.

At the moment I can only say: it runs! Stock Debian and no custum packets. So if there is something wrong, it is the system, not the sugar code.

If there is any interest, i can try to write a howto on my next install experiments Please give feedback.
