Hi! I hope this is the right place to say this...
I just installed sugar and it's great. One thing I don't know how to do - maybe it's not possible to do it yet?
Say my customer X is waiting for me to complete project Y, which in turn is made up of task A, B, C...
I'd like X to log in into sugar and see how the tasks are coming along. Also, it would be nice if X could schedule appointments with people working on Y using the meeting module of sugar. Again, it would be nice to exchange documents like specifications and such attaching them as notes to project task.
Now, I could do this creating a user M for my customer. This way I can create a "customer" role that restricts a lot of stuff, associate M with Y, and so he can view the progresses.
However there are several problems:
- duplication of data between the Contact and Account;
- the user M can see all the employees;
- the project tasks have to be "assigned" to M, which doesn't make sense.
Now I wonder: how do I associate to a Contact (or to all the contacts of an Account) with a project in such a way that they 1) have the ability to log in; 2) can see how the project is going and interact as I mentioned earlier?
I hope the question is not idiotic: this is my first post about a CRM![]()
Thank you
