Tracking Training Courses

Hi Guys,

I am currently implementing Sugar in our organisation and it is working well. We do need to be able to track our training courses though. At this stage we are running 4 major courses and have a certification process.

Currently we run these courses:
- Stage 1
- Stage 2
- Refresher
- Sales

We would like to be able to track who has done which course and when so that we can deem whether someone is certified or not and whether it is current. First we need to track who has done Stage 1, then we need to track who has done Stage 2. If they have done both, they need to be flagged as Certified. As a part of the certification they need to complete at least 1 refresher course each year and this also needs to be taken into account when marking someone certified.

Does anyone know of a module to do this or some simple way to track these?

Hi, teknetia

You could customize the Project and ProjecTask modules for this purpose.
For example:

A project is a collection of courses some one can study.
A task is a single course.
The project module has a list of task, so a collection of courses has a list of courses.
A tasks has a field which specify if this one depends on another task, so a course can depend on another course.
After finishing all course list then the user can be certified.
