Unable to install any extensions

The latest one I tried hangs at 25%, upon checking the error log, it returns the following:

Warning: copy(include/generic/SugarWidgets/SugarWidgetJCRMSubPanelIcon.php) [function.copy]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/blend/public_html/crm/ModuleInstall/ModuleInstaller.php on line 107

I have set the cache directory and all sub files and folders to writable, still the same problem.

Is there even a way of manually installing extensions perhaps, as a way round this?

Guess not, the search for a crm goes on.

I managed to install by setting all files and folders to 777, I notice there is a security risk, so I need to find some documentation from Sugar on recommended permissions, once I have upgraded.
