Default Upgrade to 4.2 from 3.5

    Hello people,
could somebody tell me if I can upgrade our Sugar installation from 3.5.1c directly to 4.2 or I have to install 4.0, 4.0.1 and then 4.2 ?

    Thanks.

    Regards.

    Hi,

I think it can be done in two steps with the following patches :

    - SugarSuite-Upgrade-3.5.1_to_4.0.1.zip
    - SugarSuite-Upgrade-4.0.1_to_4.2.0.zip

You can find the files on sugarforge.net (http://www.sugarforge.org/frs/?group_id=6).

The upgrade process seems went well, now I'm checking the details.
Thanks for your quick and useful answer.

    I'm trying to follow the two step process 351 -> 401, 401 -> 421

When I upload SugarSuite-Upgrade-3.5.1_to_4.0.1.zip, I never get an Install button. I just get a message
The following Upgrades have been installed:

Name Type Version Date Installed Description Action
SugarSuite patch 4.0.1 2006-02-09 00:13 Upgrade patch for Sugar 4.0.1 performed in two steps Not Available

The upgrade is NOT performed - evidence About page still shows 3.5.1a and if I try to do the next upgrade it fails saying
    Create User Create User
The uploaded file is not compatible with the current version (3.5.1a) of Sugar.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Les

    >>>>> OK, the problem was in the manifest.php - I was at 3.5.1a and the manifest was looking for 3.5.1. Once I added "a", i got the install buttons and (with a little chmoding) all was well as was the 401 --> 421
