Upgrade from old version 1.1

Hi,

I am running an older SugarCRM 1.1 version and would like to upgrade to version 4.0. I was not able to find information on how to do this. I hope this Forum can help me out here !

I'd like to think you were joking, but somehow I don't think so.

Upgrades became much more organized in later releases - upgrading from 1.1 is going to be a marathon if you try to go through Sugar upgrades. I suspect you might be better off just exporting Account, Opportunity and Contact data, and re-importing them in 4.0. Hopefully that might take care of the bulk of your data. Otherwise I think you are into some custom work at the MySQL level - nothing a Sugar-focussed services organization could not do for you.

Longreach thanks ... the Accounts, Contacts and Opportunity db structure look rather similar, I guess I'll go for the mysql dump and import solution.
