Default Use salesforce - have question on sugarcrm - thanks

    Few questions:
    1) I would like to know that with SugarCrm can we send out email like in Salesforce with a few clicks?

    2) Also one feature that I would love to see is that not only does it send email but if we put our incoming email server info then will that email that we receive also show up in the CRM?

    3) Also the emails that are sent out to potential clients does it show reporting such as number of times emails opened etc with in the reporting and other advanced features. I can’t tell by reviewing the demo.

    4) Also for managing a development project, would sales force be the best? Can I customize so that I don’t see all the leads screen since I don’t need it?

Overall an excellent product. Excellent work guys!!!

    Yes.

This is coming in the base product in next month's 4.0 release. In the meantime, one of the open source community members built this functionality. You can find the project here: http://www.sugarforge.org/projects/zuckermail/

Again, not a feature in the base product but available as an open source extension. Here's the link to the project: http://www.sugarforge.org/projects/emailreceipt/

Hmm, not sure exactly what you are asking in terms of "managing a development project". However, it is a simple click of a button in the Sugar Admin Console to turn of any module.

    Hi Clint,

Thank you for the response! Your team has done an excellent job and I'm very impressed, please pass my congrats to them.

My question regarding project management was that. I want to use SugarCRM for task management mostly for our software development project and we have multiple software projects. When I login to the demo I see mostly info for leads, sales etc. So from that standpoint, I think in 4.0 I can customize the dashboard. Correct?

Is there any useful extension for project management or any thing else you can share with me so that when my software developer login to sugar crm it doesn't look so complicated, and all that sales, leads and other info is not ther. Thank you. Looking forward to version 4.0.

    Hi Dave -

Each user can select which tabs and modules they see in the app. So it's a simple configuration for each of your users to select which modules they want to see. This is done in the "My Account" screen.
