Hi,
I'm the CTO for a medium sized marketing business and I have a question about Sugar before we implement it as our primary CRM. Our sales people are responsible for managing and maintaining their own clients. As a financial services company, privacy is paramount and each sales rep must have access to **only** his/her clients. We already have a system in place for dealing with split commissions when the need arises, we just need a system whereby we can track our clients on a per sales rep basis. Other features like calendaring and email are unneeded as we already have a good collaboration solution in place. Can Sugar restrict users to their own clients within a single database (I have no desire to have my staff admin a separate database for each sales person)?
Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated. I've dome my homework in Sugar and other solutions and Sugar seems to be best so far. Oh, and we're looking at the Open Source version.
Many thanks,
User64

...I'm downloading it now and will start working my through the docs with my staff. If we choose to, are we able to turn off the email and calendaring modules?
