Default Using SugarCRM as a standalone site

Can SugarCRM be used without a frontend website? It seems like Sugarcrm.com doesnt have a frontend (joomla/drupal). How do they do that?

There is connector from Drupal/Joomla for SugarCRM.
You can find them on SugarForge.
    They use soap.

If you're familiar with SOAP, you should probably consider the SugarCRM SOAP API. Otherwise, you could always write your own application to connect to the SugarCRM database directly (or ODBC).
