WAP/Cell Phone Support for Sugar Templates

I'm working on making a sugar template a light weight version with no graphics... just text and links...
so my cleints can view calendar, contacts etc. Even without the light weight version being done yet, I can still login and view the full CRM using my MPX 220 windows smartphone with IE ... I want to try it on like the Treo 650 and Blackberry tomorrow at the cingular store and see if it works on other phones that can render HTML decently

I have clients of mine who want to access their data on the go and have data plans with Cingular so a light weight WAP enabled or non-graphical HTML sugar theme could be a cool little tool for them...

it would be like wap.mydomain.com for my cleints... there they can login and gain access to most if not all sugar modules...

This along with MS outlook(exchange) bi-directional sync using the plugins will be the solutions for wireless synchronization...

Anyone try this stuff yet?

Yea I heard the other day they have it for sugar pro... I use sugar open source so I'm going to create my own mobile version.

I called Sugar Sales up.. they said they won't sell the wireless functionality standalone... it only comes with sugar pro..

for information, there's a very stripped down interface in the pro wireless version - quite different from the standard interface.

It seems to be in the planning stage, no news published since the project was registered.
