We have setup SugarCRM community edition (version 6.5.14) - and use it with its inbuilt web-based email client, working via IMAP / SMTP to our Google Apps email. SugarCRM's native web based email client has been good for us, except a couple of features missing:
1. Showing of emails as a thread in the Email client, as opposed to individual one-by-one
2. Ability to attached multiple file attachments by a single file browser selection, as opposed to having them attach one-by-one
3. Some of our email addresses are functional emails (eg firstname.lastname@example.org ) maybe used 2 sales-persons in our company - but as per SugarCRM's documentation, I understand that one can setup a group email that can be used by both them, without having to replicate that data twice.
Both of these are features in Gmail that our team was very used to. We are a little reluctant to go with Outlook - reasons being Mac issues, and the emphasis on web-based sending. Ideally, we'll like to have a Gmail like web-mail client. We came across SugarGini - though cool, it doesn't seem like what we are looking for just yet. Any suggestions for handling the above features in SugarCRM's default web-mail client? Any suggestions for handling the issues above?
