Web to leads with offline version.

I am running sugarcrm community edition on my mac using jumpbox (am willing to install it on an apache server on my mac if neccessary).

Is it possible to get web to lead data from an online form to my offline software?

P.S. - Am I fundamentally misunderstanding the way the software works?

There has to be a constant connection between the SugarCRM server and the Lead form for it to work out of the box. Otherwise, you'll need to get yourself some expertise on how to do this.
