You can Export from the Contacts List View and Import from Contacts Import feature.

    Thanks andopes. :-)

From your advice, i went to try it out and the contact + leads are exported.

    Steps To Export Contacts
    1. Click Contact.
    2. Click View Contact.
    3. Select All Contacts (or desired ones)
    4. Click Action and Select Export.

    cheers,

I got a stupid additional question

Let's imagine that my system contains about thousands of contacts and the server is not able to display all of them before the browser returns a timeout.

How can I export all my contacts e.g. to import them once to another system.

    Hi All,
Is there any site from where beginners can get guidance about their problems and errors?
Sometimes I feel shy in publishing my problems.

    Caspar.

    Hi,
    maybe : http://www.sugarcrm.com/university/
you have many link to wiki, blog, kb, guides.

    For export, i have a problem :
when you export contacts, accounts or what you will, all is exported in CSV.
But all field with "carriage return" like description create a problem in the CSV file.

Maybe, it's because i am on Mac, i have not tried on windows.

    Regards
