What are these fields for?

Hello,

I'm new in using SugarCRM (4.0.1. with the German language pack) and while I'm trying to understand what this program can do for me as a salesman I may find a few points where I need help.

Now I found such a point and hope you can help me.

On the Contacs view there are a few input fields at the end (assigned to, account name etc.) and I don't know what they are for. I tried a few inputs but nothing changed. The only button where something happened was the 'Delete' button (Thanks for the warning message. ). Maybe it's because I only have entered just a few contacts.

Can anyone help me?

Another question: I found a...maybe translation error in the German version of 4.0.1. Where can I post it? Or let me do it here: It's also in the contacts view. The the last input field 'Accept Status' is labeled with LBL_LIST_ACCEPT_STATUS in the German translation and I don't think that it's the right one. It's not important for me but I wanted to point it out.

sorry but it was our sysop who installed it. If you could tell me what you mean with "how" and which details you need I would ask him.

Hi Harry,

I mean the following:
- where has the German language pack been found (URL and file name)
- under which account has the installation been made (I assume admin, but just to make sure)
- which menus and command sequence has been used (you know, like "open a text edtor and go to File, New", ...)
- was the operation successful (no warnings, no errors)?

are you referring to the fields beneath the "udpate/delete/sync/unsync" buttons?
these fields are used with the above update/delete buttons to do a mass update/delete
ie. check the boxes for those contacts you want, and you can update them all to the same "assigned to" user.

they aren't input fields per se.. to edit those fields on a single record, you need to open the record and click the Edit button.
