Who knows how to change titles?????? No one has been able to assist us..

Please help,.. we are setting up SugarCRM for a local, new church and need to change the names of the modules - which we already know how to do in studio - but we need to change the names of these modules when they show within other modules , like the home page, within the create sections of each module... etc..

For Ex: When using the 'ACCOUNTS' module (which we renamed to Volunteers) we would like the shortcut menu to list 'create Volunteer' not create Account..

Any help is greatly appreciated.

has lots of tips on paring Sugar down. For your particular question (accounts -> volunteer), I believe the answer lies in the 'language' files. In each module there is a language/en_us.lang.php file. That's where the labels are stored. You'll have to change the language file in each module in order to get the changes to show up everywhere, but it's not too hard.

BTW, do you know how to eliminate the need to create an account when converting a lead to a contact? We are using the Account module for a specific and separate type of contact..... any ideas??

Glad it worked out! Sorry, I don't know anything about the leads-accounts-contacts setup. We don't use leads in our Sugar (we just enter people directly as Contacts), so I've never explored it very much.
