Why do Campaigns require an End Date?

I note a webtolead form has to be assigned a campaign

not every lead has to come from a campaign in the truest since of the word

if you website is the source of your leads, how is their an end date?

does there need to be one?

I dont think so that Campaign requires an end date. It depends on us if we want we can give...it is to remind you to set for particular period...Simply its not compulsory Do let me know if you need for suggestions!!!!!
