Default Why does the opensource version try to connect to the internet ?

    Hi all,

I've just installed the Open Source sugar suite in order to take a look at it. The suite tries to connect to the internet all the time. Does anyone know why this is ? Why would it want to connect to the internet ??

Hi gdev, the Admin -> Sugar Updates section contains an "Enable Usage Statistics Reporting" checkbox. When set, Sugar will periodically report anonymous usage statistics that we aggregate across the totality of Sugar implementations. This data provides us valuable insight into overall usage patterns and helps guide our development efforts as a result.

    Hope this helps,
