workflow email alert with attachment

i am trying to create an email alert template that includes several pdf attachments. so far i have not figured out how to do this. I am sure there must be a away to do it, so if someone can point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated.

Hi,

I'm afraid you will not be able to attach documents to workflow email alert.
The best thing to do is to load these documents to a web page and insert the url link to your email alert.

We would like to do the same: add an attachment to a workflow alert email template.

The strange thing is that if you create a email template in the email module there is an option to add an attachment.

Can't this be added in the same way for the workflow alert email template?

Any suggestions and help are welcome!
