Default Would CRM work in my Type of business?

What I can see so far CRM looks great, it should keep sales and Admin Happy. The business also has remote site installation, service and maintenance/inspection plus emergence call out 24/7 and a small stock room. Job dispatchers who need to issue and track jobs of different completion times. Remote employees who only go to one of two offices for parts/paper-work once a week. What I would like to know if Suger CRM is a good fit for this type of business?

I think a lot of what you want is already on SugarCRM. I would suggest you download, install and take a look around the system. You can also look at SOAP integration to create portals for your customers to access data held within SugarCRM. There are lot of possibilities with using a CRM system.

How do you manage all this at the moment?

I think SugarCRM is probably the best possible CRM fit for your business because it is open source and can be customised more than any other CRM solution.

I would suggest using Cases for your job tracking and a custom stock module for your stock.
I fully agree with DigiCRM, install, test it and customise it for your needs.
Keep asking help here along the way and enjoy the ride.

CE Teams - Upgrade safe teams module for Community Edition
FieldACL - Field Level Access Control for Community Edition

Be careful, SugarCRM may match you needs, but you should test it in the real environment.
As you have home office agents you should know that SuagrCRM loads very large pages on every click. If you have less or equal than 1MBit connection to the internet - some home offices have - you will not be very happy.
I know from internet cafes in Marakesch having problems to use SugarCRM.
Check the connectivity of your agents. This can be KO-criterium for the acceptance og the system.

Thanks for all your replys, I have downloaded the "Sugar Community Edition" in a .iso and have a old box to try it on. Will also look into that "stock module". Its nice to know if I'm heading in the right direction. Again thanks
