I've been working with sugar for a couple of months now, and I think it's time for a little discussion .

Would Sugar Suite be a better product if the community would contribute code to the project?

I do know that this is technically possible in some way. If there's a bug in sugar and you know the answer, you could submit this and it could be incorperated in Sugar. And, of course, it's possible to create some modules and add them to SugarForge (usually they're not very useful, though). But that's not what I mean. What I mean is a product like Linux itself, where really anyone can add features as well as bugfixes, etc.

Ohw and, also, if some project gets behind (like the Dutch translation), and the original developer isn't responding to email for months on end (which he is doing right now), it should be possible to request a transfer of that project to somebody who's willing to update the project (like me)...
