Writable Session Save Path () Not A Valid Directory

I am installing SugarCRM. during installing on STEP 2: I am getting this error msg "Writable Session Save Path () Not A Valid Directory "

I have tried to set the
- session.save_path = /tmp
- session.save_path = C:\> temp

gave all the permission rights to the directory.

but nothing working??

looking forward for the help

What system are you using ?

session_save_path = c:/windows/temp

should work under win.

thanx dear, it worked. actually I was given the correct path, the problem is that, in the start of the line there is a semi colon and I was ignoring it. thats y it was not working.

I'm experiencing the same problem. My session.save_path under PHP.ini reads:
session.save_path = c:\temp

This directory does exist (I double checked on the server). Any idea what could be causing the problem?

I went ahead and set the session.save_path to be c:/windows/temp and the red error goes away. However, now I'm receiving another problem. Where MYSQL is listed under Step 2 it now states in read 'Not Available'.
