Multi-Users Sharing Adatpation needed

Hi all

We are looking for a developer that can help us to finish a small SugarCRM CE v5.5.1 adaptation.

We have customized SugarCRM for our business and now there is a new requirement were we need to create a m:n relationship between a custom module and Users module, so all the users assigned to the record can work as the "Owner of the record" (List, Edit, View...)

By creating the m:n relationship we mean that a record from this custom module can be:

a) Assigned to several users
b) Users assigned to this record, and which ListView Role for this module is set to "Owner" are able to list the record even if they are not filled in the "Assigned to" field of the record.
c) Work under "Security Groups" policy

Basically we need to provide a "real record sharing" at all levels (Edit, View, List) between the users assigned to the record.

Step a) is already done and working fine... however we would need help for steps b) and c).

Rather than reinvent the wheel, have you looked at the 'Security Groups' product from eggsurplus in Forge/Exchange. This does precisely what you ask.

Thanks a lot for the answer. Yes we are using Security Groups already to emulate a Team Functionality...however we do not find the way to accomplish what we need. Let me show an example

We have a Group A, composed by supervisors which creates records from our custom module, so the record are assigned to them at the first time (in the "assigned to" field)

These Group A members, once they have created this custom record, they assign it to a member in the Group B, which should work on it, modify it, check status....

The creator from Group A, should be able to see only records created by him and assigned to other members to Group B.... while members of Group B should only see records assigned to them by the members of the Group A.

These means that no record from the custom module should be shared between Group A members, and no record from the custom module should be shared between Group B members. These custom records should be only shared between the creator from GroupA and the member from Group B who has got the record assigned to.

Dont know if this explanation was clear enough to express our requirement (even for me it is a little bit tricky).

Is this still possible with Security Groups only?
