Am I missing something?

I have an outbound call center - basically what we do is call businesses, and set up appointments for a field representative to visit the business and pitch the product. My sales reps get commission if the lead turns into a sale, and the field representatives get commissions also. I want it so my telesales reps can make appointments for the field reps all over the USA, and the field reps can login and see their appointments. I installed Sugar Open Source and configured it. I import my leads from a CSV file, and that works fine but it duplicates leads. Can I automatically merge duplicate leads? Will Sugar open source do what I need as far as scheduling? Looks like it will, but I have not been able to make it work exactly as I need yet. I am still playing around with it

Not sure why you would be getting duplicate leads. That's not normal, but more info pertaining to how you performed your import and what's happened over time on the system might help uncover some clues as to the reason why.

You cannot automatically merge duplicates, but you can manually do so by selecting duplicate entries and clicking the Merge Duplicates option. You can also check for duplicates during the import process. Both of those should help you clean up your data.

As for the scheduling part, it should not be a problem. The telesales rep just needs to change the "Assigned to:" value to that of a field rep user name in order to schedule items on that field rep's calendar.
