Lightbulb Its killing me. I must be missing something

    Hey everybody.

At rehava.com we have been working hard to create a way to add lead sources to our SugarCRM install from outside non sugar form generated leads....clear as mud?

It goes like this... we are a real estate broker and many of our leads are purchased from third party sites or are a function of doing business daily. In our example we may buy leads from Realtor.com and they will ask what email we want the leads sent to and in our case we have them send it to team @ rehava.com

And here is the problem. How do we get those leads into the CRM automatically based on the subject line of the email.

Solution: We have written a script that checks an email address and when it finds an email with specific subject line it inserts it automagically into our CRM.

Problem: Adding a new lead source is a real pain. Does anyone have a better way of doing this? Am I missing something within the system???

    Thanks ALL

In this case I recomend using Soap.

    Can Realtor.com use any WEB-services?

As far as Realtor.com i am not sure what you mean. You send them an email addy to use for sending any leads from your showcase.

    another example is showings.com

This service books our showings. we set up the script in perl and used php to execute the cron but adding any new updates is pain in the ass

it seems like this is a pretty basic requirement of any crm. when an email comes from either certain addresses or a predetermined subject line like :

    "New Realtor.com lead"

Then assign it to a certain lead source???

Microsoft charges $1,000 for each time you do this in Dynamic CRM.

Getting the emails into the system is fairly easy (just set up group accounts). the problem starts when you want to create a lead automatically from this imported email. The mechanism is there (quick create) biut this needs to be done manually (which indeed is a pain in the neck).
You may try the Process Manager solution from Sierra / Bill Convis, they made something like that. See here for further information: http://www.sugarforge.org/forum/foru...&forum_id=1820

SierraCRM was contacted by guz and was able to complete his requests using Process Manager and custom coding in the Inbound Email handler. His company is now able poll an email box, pick up the new email, create a new lead and call Process Manager after lead is created.
