Notes & Leads Modified Date

Is there a way that I can either display the last modified date of the notes/history of a lead in the 'My Leads' dashlet or a way to make the addition of a note/history item change the 'last modified date' of a lead update to match the latest note?

Yes you can do this easily by clicking "Edit Dashlet" button which is a small pencil icon. Two columns will be displayed. One says Displayed Columns and the other is Hidden Columns. Simply scroll down the the Hidden Columns and select Last Modified and then press the Left Triangle Icon to add Last Modified to the Displayed Column and you're all set!
