4.0.1 Installation Problem

I am trying to install SugarCRM Open Source on my Novell Netware 6.5 SP4a web application server. Step 2 checks OK with PHP version 5.0.4. The MySQL database is local to the server (localhost). I have tried letting the installer create the user account, and arrive to the same point. This most recent time, I provided the MySQL root user account and password as a privilaged user in Step 3.

When I get to step 6, the installer gets through all of the operations up to Creating default users... and the webpage finishes with errors. If I look at the errors, I see the following:

At this point, if I try to open another browser and log in to the 4.0.1 installation, the admin user account and password does not enable me to log in. Reviewing the database shows that there are no records in the USERS table.

I would need to see the rest of the text on that page (the long one). I assume that it is erroring out somewhere before your user is being setup. Do any of the tables have data in them?

You could run this sql to add the admin user with a password of 'will':

The sugarcrm4 database is created successfully. The acl_actions table has 133 rows. The config table has 13 rows. The relationships table has 141 rows, and the versions table has 6 rows.

I compared the table layout to the sql statement and see that both the 'expire_date' and 'user_type' fields are both missing! They are not created when the users table is created. Which is probably why the installer script is not able to create the user account.

I thought that maybe the MySQL Query Browser was truncating the long string, so I installed phpMyAdmin and tried from there, and also receive the error.
