Default 4.2.0d - Email Campaign only sends mail once

Since version 4.2 I have been unable to get a campaign to send messages more than one time. If I create a new campaign and add my target list and send a message, all works well. However, If a few days later I attempt to send a second message, it will queue and act like it has processed correctly, but no mail is sent. The only way to send a new message is to make a whole new campaign, add the target list, and again set up the same message with the same email template. This again, will only work once. My campaign is an ongoing newsletter so I set it to not expire for years. Perhaps it is a bug in that it hates the expiration being several years out? I will try it set at months instead and see what happens.

Anyone else have this problem or any ideas?

I attempted to "Mass Update" my campaigns to change the ending date. I also selected to make them active, but under the Type option in Mass Update it doesn't show the correct lists of types such as Email, Radio, etc, but instead shows Active, Inactive, Pending etc and in fact lets you apply that change and shows them of type Active in the results. If you actually go to the campaign it will no longer have a type and by editing you can change it back to the correct type.

I don't think this is related directly to my problem, but in the meantime I am having to recreate my campaign each time I want to send something to my target list.

That seems to be the standard behaviour of the system. The logic is that you would normally want to track each mailing separately. So to send a weekly newsletter, we duplicate the campaign from the week before, rather than trying to resend.

Note to Sugar team: It would be nice if the Email Template and Tracking URLs were carried over when a Campaign is duplicated.

    Cheers.

Hmm, I guess I can follow that line of thinking. Not the behavior it had prior to version 4 however as my original email campaign was used to send about ten transmissions. Frustrating that it acts as if it sends the messages without a complaint.
