Suggest you make this a "Sticky".
Also, it is unclear if the huge amount of INBOUND E-mail problems in 4.2 will be fixed with this patch.

E-Mail Issues
Will you be sending out an email to announce the patch release. The SQL bug really fried my system. I lost a whole days worth of data, which is interesting because I ran the upgrade on my Sugar test system. I had moved the live data to my test system in order to avoid any problems with my live system. It appears that i did not correctly migrate the data since I ran the update on the test system and both systems installed the update. After I finished cursing, jumping around and wishing bad things on Sugar, I restored my live system from my backups. When I came in this morning the update had run again without any user intervention, some true PFM. After I finished cursing, jumping around and wishing bad things on Sugar, I restored my live system from my backups, again. When I looked in the Upgrade Wizard on the live system the upgrade hade been uploaded to that system even though I was on 2 seperate machines. Can you explain how the 2 systems might be still be tied together?![]()

It's the one mentioned here (third point), here (post number 5), and here (where the poster even supplies a fix that's not been included into SugarCRM releases).
The basic problem is that you can select the sort order for a list (e.g. the incoming emails list), do something related to the list (e.g. view an inbound email), and when you go back to the list and your selected sort order has been forgotten.
Manoj said on 14th-APR-2006 that
"We are working on this issue and will soon communicate the design approach to the team. Please stay tuned and provide us your valuable feedback."
and then there is nothing but silence....
The number of times I've had to re-sort the inbound emails by arrival date is absolutley maddening!!!..

Hi,
thanks for the patch. I already upgraded to 4.2.1, and i can not find a patch .zip file that can upgrade me from 4.2.1 to 4.2.1a. the 4.2.0 upgrade package fails (as it should).
Could you release the missing package?
