4.21d -> 4.50f upgrade problems

I got no problems with the upgrade process. And the 4.50f runs fine...

I just got a message some other upgraders also got:

Manually merge the following files:

crm2/modules/Notes/SearchForm.html
crm2/modules/Accounts/ShowDuplicates.html
crm2/modules/Opportunities/SearchForm.html
crm2/modules/Versions/index.html
crm2/modules/Import/ImportStep2.html
crm2/modules/Import/ImportStep1.html
crm2/modules/Import/ImportStep3.html

And the only problem I got is that the module loader does not work... When I click on the module loader in the admin panel I have to wait about four to five minutes and then I get an error:

The proxy server could not handle the request GET /crm2/index.php.

Reason: Error reading from remote server

Error 502

I tried to copy the files above from the 4.50f package in the working directory but that did not help. What can I do or what repair functions may I use to solve that problem...

I thought that message was informational only and did not stop you from doing the upgrade. Can you post the full text of the error you get from the upgrade wizard?

Ok this error does not appear anymore... Thats a little bit confusing beause I did not change any settings...

Now I get the following error message on the module loader page:

The following modules have been installed:

Error: PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Invalid End of Central Dir Record size : 15
Name Type Version Date Installed Description Action

and if I try to upload a module (the latest language pack) I get the following error...

Error: PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Invalid End of Central Dir Record size : 16

are you using IE7 or 7? I have seen this alot recently with IE. If so try firefox or opera to do the upload and see if it works.

I do not use IE, I use Firefox 2.0... In addition to this the first error message appears before uploading any file...

Interesting is the last posting - he got the same problems. Maybe it occurs with some incompatible laguage packs which are not got removed before upgrading. In my case there was an uninstalled 4.2 german language pack... Does the solution of clint also help in my case or my I get problems installing a new laguage pack if I remove the upgrade history?
