    Default 4.5.0c kills check inbound email scheduler!

    I just ran an upgrade from 4.5.0b > 4.5.0c and it killed the check inbound email scheduler. The cron job onb the server is running correct though, as the log file processes 'failed' every minute.

    I tried to repaired the schedular using repair in the admin panel, but this didn't succeed.

    This is in the system logfile every minute:

    [52580] FATAL SugarCRM - Failing job because we could not get an IMAP connection resource.
    [52580] FATAL SugarCRM - ----->Scheduler Job FAILED


    What could be the issue here?

    I figured ou that going into user preferences and entering your password again, check mailboxes again and then saving your settings solves the problem.

    I seems like the upgrade messes up your saved password for email!

    I am getting the same error message.

    This is interesting in that none of my users are set to check IMAP email. Why does it think it needs an IMAP resource?

    Also, does this mean that I am going to have to go into the user screen of every one of my 80+ users and correct the password to get the error message to stop appearing? That would be a real pain.

    I would like the answer to this as well, I have a customer migration tomorrow and don't want to end up sitting with the customer updating all the Email passwords.

    I am having this same problem again after upgrading to 4.5.0(f).

    I have gone through each of my 100+ users and reset the password and name fields.

    Every time the scheduler checks for incoming mail EACH of my user accounts produces an error message in the sugar_log file. This results in a couple of megabytes per day of messages. The log file gets huge.

    I am searching the forums for answers. It is reminding me of just how many threads there are about email issues. I hope we can get a ROBUST, STABLE email module soon.

    Edit: Here is the error message:

    Tue Nov 7 04:40:14 2006,009 [17956] FATAL SugarCRM - SCHEDULERS: could not get an IMAP connection resource for ID [ aa0dfb0f-c5b0-2381-73d6-4548d76f2509 ]. Skipping mailbox [ Avery Parker ].

    Can anyone point me to a solution on this particular problem?

    I found the cause of my problem.

    The problem in this case was the result of an incorrect [mbstring] setting in php.ini. Type mbstring in the Wiki to get the correct settings (and then follow them carefully).

    Just wanted to post this, in case it would help someone else debug a similar situation.

    This issue exists in version 5.2.0i (Build 5757) . Is there really no solution to this problem?
