    Default 4.5.0d InboundEmail Not Receiving E-mail

    I just upgraded to 4.5.0d after Chris Nojima's patch allowed me to upgrade to 4.5.0c.

    However, now I am not receiving any e-mail through sugar.

    I am running on Bitrock stack for Sugar CRM 4.2.1 and installed 4.5.0b ontop of that stack.

    My original problem was that all my e-mail is showing a receipt date of either 2000-01-01 00:00 or 2000-01-01 08:00, which made Sugar E-mail unusable, now I don't receive any inbound e-mail and there are no errors in the sugarcrm log or the apache log.

    It looked like patch 4.5.0c upgraded the InboundEmail.php file so I did not touch it. But after checking the contents of the file after installing 4.5.0d it seems that neither 4.5.0c nor 4.5.0d upgraded the file so I took the file out of the 4.5.0c zip and re-ran repair indexes -- nothing changed. So I took the InboundEmail.php file out of the 4.5.0d zip and re-ran repair indexes and nothing changed. I still do not get any inbound e-mail.

    This e-mail issue is getting worse instead of better. I need a solution.

    I'm running into the same problems with 4.5d.

    The schedulers and/or inboud email settings are all messed up.
    I have 3 accounts set up on my system with Inbound email. Only one of te works, always the same. Well, the one that works only works once in a while. I have Identified 4 seperate issues with this mechanism, which I am sending now to SugarCRLM tech support.

    In my opinion, there's a serious bug and the inbound email is totally ilmpaired.

    In short, the issues I found are :

    1 - After the upgrade, some inbound email scheduler settings are lost. They need to be entered again.

    2 - The schedular shows 2 or 3 tasks in progress and then they are shown as failed. Furthermore, the hours displayer are wrong. When I looked at this at 11:30, it showed like it had starter an inbound email task at 12:37, same day. And the server has the correct time !!!

    3 - Checking inbound email setting of users, when just looking at the screen all looks OK, but when I click on Edit the data is messed up and always reverts to one single account - that happens for every account

    4 - When we click on Check email in Group Mail, it takes for ever and the result is a blank page

    Anyway, short description. I took screen shots of all this and am reporting this to support. They have been really good at helping us, we will see if they can reproduce the problems...

    For InboundEmail connection problems, first try the Repair utility in Admin -> Repair -> Repair InboundEmail Accounts.

    If that does not work, make sure the accounts can connect correctly via "Test Settings". That not working, try creating a brand-new test account and use the same settings.

    That not working, file a bug .

    I-E/Emails is going to get a whole SLEW of bug fixes in 4.5.0e. I have personally addressed 30+ since 4.5.0d. Here's hoping one that fixed recently isn't what is keeping you from using I-E in 4.5.0d.

    Hi Chris,

    Thanks for all the work you guys are putting into the email module.

    I have 4.5.0d successfully installed. But, I do not have a Repair InboundEmail Accounts choice in my Admin-->Repair menu. I do have a screwdriver icon showing at the bottom of the list that doesn't have any item or description. But, I think I may have had that showing in several previous releases.

    Could you give me any idea how I can get that Repair item to show? I need and want to fix my email accounts.

    That is a symptom of cached language strings. That bottom utility is the Repair InboundEmail link - try clicking the icon itself.

    Thanks for your quick reply.

    None of the icons are clickable. So that didn't work.

    I see now that you short-handed the address. I tried it as written (changed to address my Sugar location) and it didn't work. Now I got the address correct and it works fine.

    I am also having problems with our Sugar Cronjobs. The email works just fine for Group Inbox if you click "Check Mail" from the Group Inbox. However, the cronjob is not running well.

    When I run the cron.php file by hand, I get:

    Warning: Missing argument 1 for MysqlManager::connect(), called in /var/www/include/database/DBManager.php on line 309 and defined in /var/www/include/database/MysqlManager.php on line 464

    Before I dive in and see what this is, anyone have any clues for a quick fix?

    I have already deleted/created a new email inbound setting and done the same with the Scheduler setting.
