Default 4.5.1d: Send email goes back to login and loses composed email

Hi, I've noticed twice in the last few days that when I sit down and compose a long email, Sugar Open Source 4.5.1d takes me back to the login page without sending the email right after I click on the "Send" button.

I suspect that there is some timeout issue and that the editing function is not resetting a watchdog timer somewhere. In the meantime, I have resorted to periodically saving a draft which not only protects my work composing the email but also seems to satisfy Sugar OS that I'm still banging away and that going back to the login page is unnecessary.

This does, however, take me back about twenty-five years to the "save early and save often" days of MS-DOS and Windows editors.

    Two questions:

    1. Where can I configure (and lengthen) the time after which Sugar reverts to the login page?
    2. Shouldn't Sugar OS automatically save a draft when the user has left the system in Compose Email mode?

Sugar uses your system default time out.
You can change it in the php.ini file.

    I believe it's the session.gc_maxlifetime variable.

I would think that it should save it as well, but if your session dies, how is it going to save it? You need an Ajax type function that saves it based off of time. Similar to how docs.google.com does it when you're in a file there.
