5.2.0 to 5.5.1 Upgrade Failure

When using the silentUpgrade.php file, I get a syntax error,

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/ewsseo/public_html/SugarCE-Upgrade-5.2.0-to-5.5.1.zip on line 41

What do I do to fix this?

The command I'm running is

php -f SugarCE-Upgrade-5.2.0-to-5.5.1.zip upgradeWizard.log /home/ewsseo/public_html lmiller

Running CE on centos PHP Version 5.2.11

Post the contents of the file UpgradeWizard.log. It is located in the root directory where you installed Sugar. It should yield some clues.

I uploaded the changelog for yesterday at this link http://ews-seo.com/log.txt

I also have tried using the upgrade wizard and I get a strange error

Are you able to click "Next" on that screen of the upgrade wizard?

No, the button doesn't exist, only back cancel and recheck

However, this folder exists on the server now, is there some way I could run something else in order to get the upgrade to run, since the upgrade wizard doesn't seem to be able to?

What happens if you hit Browse and try to upload the 5.2 to 5.5 upgrade files again?

If that fails, try temporarily renaming the folder cache/upload/upgrades and then try the upgrade again.

I get the same error, where it says Required steps must be completed before continuing, and when I rename the directory it restarts the wizard, then uploads the file to the new folder, and continues giving me the same error.

Hmmm...that's a bit interesting.

Can you post the output of phpinfo() from your server?
