Default [5.2CE] E-Mail: residual mails when using IMAP

I connected my Sugar-E-Mail-Client with my GMail account via IMAP. It works. Sort of. If I delete any Mail in GMail, sugar never notices.

All old and deleted eMails remain visible in the Sugar EMail client. But when I click on them, I get the error message "null - the email has been removed or deleted"

Is there any solution to force Sugar to properly synchronize with an IMAP account?

Oh - and here's a feature request: I'd love a "import" button next to those mails where the sender is known to sugar. Known senders are probably contacts - so I'd like a one-click-import for all mails exchanged with these contacts.

    Same goes for writing mails.

    Thanks

    s.

Does the "Synchronize" option on the INBOX not correct the matter?

I have to admit that I never noticed the context menu - or the sync function.

So I tried it today and it seemed to work (even though there seems to be a bug in the system - but that's not the issue here).

Thanks for your help - I really appreciate it

Well, may be I should talk a bit about the bug I mentioned:

When I tried the sync-function first, the system started a process where a progress bar "download 200 of 125 mails" over and over again. After 2 hours, I cancelled that.

The inbox then seemed to have been synchronized.

When I tried it the second time right after, the process "download 300 of 300 mails" started again. No idea why it suddenly found 300 mails - my mailbox really has only 101 mails in it. Anyways. After that process was completed, my inbox was displayed as entirely empty.

When I clicked "get emails now", only the last eMail showed up.

So I logged out, then in again - but the situation remains the same: sugar thinks my inbox has only 1 mail in it.

Really, really buggy system I think - but it's so easy to import mails there, so I work a lot with the emailer...
