5.5rc4 and 5.2k

Hi,

I have a strange problem when assigning users which is happening in both versions

1. I create a standard user
2. I create a lead
3. I assign the lead to the standard user and save
4. the assigned user is not visible in the detailed view
5. I edit the lead and the assigned user is not visble.
6. If I assign the lead to admin, the assign user is visible as admin.

This happens with system admin users as well.

If I view the source code of the page it shows the standard users ID but not the name.

Please can someone help as we have been trying to workout was is wrong for 4 days now.

I think this issue also cropped up last week ... do you have any sugarforge modules installed?

have you done any customisations?

Hi,

On our production system we have customisation and a few modules installed. Our 5.2k system went wrong after upgrading from j to k. And when i unistalled a module it completely broke the views. We decided to move to 5.5rc4 and found this has the same problem.

I now have 3 systems setup.

5.2k broken
5.5rc4 not showing assigned users
5.5rc4 vanilla install no customisation not showing assigned users.

It is really an urgent issue to fix as we are a new startup company and have a lot of sales staff starting tomorrow ...... bloody nightmare comes to mind.

Hey,

3 custom modules ..... but these were all working in 5.2j and are still working in 5.2k and 5.5rc4

I have just installed both version of sugar on my dev server and the assign user is woking .... just installing another instance on the prod server to test.

OK

I have installed on the dev server both version of sugar and both work
I have imported the 5.2k database from the dev server to prod for testing
assigned user is not being displayed on the prod testing instance
we are running difference mysql version

working on dev = 5.0.45

not working on prod = 5.1.31

We have also tried switching the ID between admin and the test user in the db.

I then select the testuser and assign but it displays as admin.

It's only the display that is not working. The testuser does get allocated the lead it's just the name that is not displayed.

Hi,

We found the problem with the 5.5rc4 and 5.2k assign to user display. For some strange reason the install on the server must have permissions issues. I installed on my other server and it worked fine. So tared the dir and copied to the other server and hey presto everything worked.

Still haven't found the problem yet but found a way round it.
