Default Access Control List - Custom Module

I have manually created a new module by using an existing module as a template. I have followed the steps outlined in the Wiki articles and can view the List from the Main Menu. However I can not access the Detail view and I can not modify any of the layouts in Studio. I believe this is because the ACL have not been set up for this module, therefore I don't have permission to view or modify the module.

I have run "index.php?module=ACL&action=install_actions' as directed in the Wiki, but my custom module does not show up in the list of updated modules. What am I missing?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!!
