Question Account addresses do not populate in Contacts

This is the version I am using:
SplendidCRM Community Version 4.0.3580.14035 (SugarCRM Version 4.5.0)
    Windows Vista

I am just beginning to use SplendidCRM and I would like to know how to get your account addresses to populate in the contacts? I don't have an option to do this.

Question Re: Account addresses do not populate in Contacts

All of our contacts were exported in as leads, most without addresses. I added in a new "account" and added in the address thinking that when I then associated a contact or a lead with the account the account address would also populate, but it doesn't. Does this mean that I would need to type in the account address for a Lead and then again for a contact - that would mean three times - this does not make sense.

Am I not entering the address data correctly? At the very least there should be a button that allows you to select the address for the account thet same as there is for the name of the account.

    Hello,

if you create a contact or lead from the subpanel of the account, then it should pull over the account address. When you select, it does not do so, because if you already had an address populated on the contact, and it is different than the account address, then you do not want to overwrite that.

Also, in Sugar, there is a button on the Account detailview near the address fields called 'Copy. Clicking this will bring up a popup window of all associated contacts. You can then select those contacts for whom you want to push the account address to.
