    Default Account-Contact Mismatch

Hello, When I look at a particular account, the contacts under it will come up assigned to another account.
for instance, I'll click "garden centers" and contacts (which are in fact garden centers) appear on the list as computer stores. When i edit the contact, it shows itself as a garden center. The problem persists even after I re-save the contact.

More interestingly, when I search for an affected contact, two record will appear. one under computer stores, and the other under garden centers. If I delete one, both dissappear.

Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? I've run a series of repairs with no luck.

    Fedora Core 4
    PIII 512 ram
    SugarOS 4.2.0d
    PHP 5.0.4
    Apache 2.2
    MySQL 4.1.19

    thank you,

    1. duplicate accounts in listviews:
known issue, there has been lots of discussion on how to handle this, but no clear path yet. It will show exactly the number of lines as contacts are associated with the account.

I'm not sure what you're doing here - are Accounts "industries" and Contacts the several businesses you deal with? That would explain some weirdness as that isn't how those modules are meant to interact. In any case, the problem likely stems from having a given contact related to 2 or more Accounts - this is fine in and of itself, but not in the use-case you're presenting.

Yeh, we are using industries as accounts. I'm going to attempt to use some custom fields to handle that type of functionality in the future, but for now it seemed like the path of least resistance.

As for have the contact related to two accounts, not entirely sure how i would have swung that. The currect SugarCRM setup is pretty fresh with the majority of the data having been imported via CSV from a previous Sugar install
