Account Import Doesn't Finish?

We are new to SugarCRM and have been trying to import account data from a tab delimited file. We've had the problem in version 5.0 and 4.51 (we downgraded to use Teams module), with large amounts of data and small amounts of data.

We get to Step #3 "Confirm Fields and Import" and we see "Import Started" with a date and time and then dots ...... as it progresses.

But the dots stop after a bit and there is no further progress. On smaller amounts of data there are fewer dots.

Can anyone provide any suggestions?

mine did the same and looked like it didn't do anything. i just left the page open for 10 minutes, checked back at it and it was all done with results on screen. i think there is just no progress indicator or any signs of data being imported, but it is in fact being imported (as long as you keep the window open) and just takes longer than you would think.
