Exclamation Account imports not showing in Sugar, but they show in phpmyadmin -- why??

I tried to upload 10 test accounts in the Accounts area. I used a CSV file and everything seemed fine -- I saw the pop-up show that I imported 10 accounts in Sugar -- but on the final screen I could see no Accounts. I searched all over Sugar and can;t find anything. I uploaded a few more times to verify, and nothing shows in my displays.

I then used PhpMyAdmin and I can see that all those Accounts have been uploaded. Any idea why I can not see them in the Web, but I see them in phpmyadmin? This is rather frustrating.

    My Details:
    Sugar Version (5.2.0j)
    Sugar Edition (Community Edition)
    Category (Accounts)
    Operating System (Red Hat)
    PHP Version (5.2.1)
    Database (MySQL 4.1.22)
    Web Server (Apache 2.0)

Pls let me know what other info I should provide to help me find a solution. This is my first post on this forum.

A follow-up: the fellow who posted here today also seems to have the same problem.

I just tried adding an Account manually, and that too does not appear in the Sugar system. Weird....

The single largest call we get on our help desk from new users is "I can't see my data".

99% of the time by saying "Did you press the Clear button on Search?" (like we stressed in training) clears the problem.

try it ... it could be that simple

    @salesagility: thanks for your tip

Unfortunately that does not solve the problem for me.

I am starting with an empty CRM database, and nothing is added visibly when I "Import". I can not find the records whjen I conduct a search and I can not see them in the "Account List".

Ok, I deleted my installation and re-installed. Now it all works fine.

I'm still unsure why my old install had the problems, but I'm glad it's fixed now.
