account name disappears

i copied all of my leads in to sugar with a csv file

when i goto my leads and click on a contact my account name disappears, if i edit the lead information and save it then the account name is gone for good (must be retyped in and saved again)

anybody ever have this problem??

Check into database if the field account_id of leads table is filled.

how or where is my database

should i use the windows explorer to get there?
this is all so way over my head

I think I understand what happend in your environment.
When you import leads with an account name, this account name must already exist in sugar and must be written exactly equal.
If there are some spaces in your importfile you will have problems.
If the accounts are not yet defined you will have problems.


If your want to look to your database you can use phpmyadmin, in xampp environment to be found under
http://localhost/pgpmyadmin/

This has to do with the amount of tabs you have set to display at the top.

Go to "My Account"

Edit

Set your Number of Tabs = 14
Number of Sub Tabs = 12

It's a bug.

Anything more than 14 makes contacts and Accounts disappear.

my tabs were set at 12 & 12
i changed them to 14 & 12 with no change in editing leads, the account name still dissapears

these are new leads that were imported from an excel file that i savesd as a csv file

i will still see if i can get into my database
